MARMARIS-HISARONU-MARMARIS BLUE CRUISE ITINERARY
The central Lycian coast is probably the nicest Blue Cruise area to be discovered in Turkey. With its typical Mediterranean streets stretching from the outskirts of the historical castle down to the
seaside, its port with a capacity of 1500 yachts, its modern buildings and its long sand beach right in the city, Marmaris is one of the pioneers of yacht charters. The Datca Peninsula is a long, narrow, mountainous finger of land that stretches west of Marmaris for about 100km, separating the Mediterranean and Aegean seas, offering simplicity, unspoilt natural beauty and a countless string of secluded bays to explore. The Datca Peninsula is still unspoilt by mass tourism. A traditional gulet cruise around the many beautiful bays enables you to enjoy exploring in your own yacht without any of the responsibilities of sailing.
BLUE CRUISE Day 1:
Boarding our yacht in Marmaris, we enjoy a welcome drink. A short briefing from the captain ensures everyone is familiar with the yacht and what we will do during the week to come. We settle in and have dinner aboard in the yacht port.
BLUE CRUISE Day 2:
Following breakfast, we leave Marmaris and head thru Arap Island where we will have lunch. After a swimming break, we move on to Bozukkale, the ancient Loryma. In this incomparable cove of its kind, you can visit the remains of the fortress, snorkel, swim, etc. Dinner and overnight on board.BLUE CRUISE Day 3:
After breakfast, cruising to Datca. This is one of a small town on the Turkish Mediterranean coast, close to the famous ancient city of Knidos. You can take an optional excursion to the ancient site. Overnight in Datca or one of nearest bay.BLUE CRUISE Day 4:
After breakfast, we continue to Aktur. Following lunch, cross over to the northern coast of the gulf. There, our first stop is Bencik, a narrow inlet which cuts the Datca Peninsula. Dinner and overnight on board.
BLUE CRUISE Day 5:
Today, we'll cruise northern into Hisaronu Gulf and anchor for lunch in Selimiye or Orhaniye Bay. Behind the village, there is an ancient acropolis, crowned by the ruins of a medieval castle. Further up in the hills, there is a waterfall you might like to visit. An optional jeep safari excursion is available.BLUE CRUISE Day 6:
After breakfast, cruising to Dirsek Buku. Then, we proceed to the Bozburun Bay. Bozburun is a quite little fishing village. It is used to be the center of sponge picking along the Turkish coast, but nowadays people make their lives in a much less dangerous way by building the typical Turkish wooden yachts; Gulets. Dinner and overnight on board.BLUE CRUISE Day 7:
After breakfast, we will cruise back to Marmaris and stop by Kadirga or Kumlubuk. Following lunch, we will give a swim break in Paradise Island and dock our gulet to Marmaris Port. Time in the evening for fun farewells.BLUE CRUISE Day 8:
After having breakfast in Marmaris Yacht Port you will leave the Gulet with best wishes to see you again and a pleasant journey homeward.
